The ALI Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) would like to invite you to this year’s Resource Rendezvous, a hybrid event held online and at IU Indy Library (auditorium) at Indiana University in Indianapolis on Friday, March 14, 2025.
This event is sponsored by the ALI Board of Directors and uses facilities generously provided by the Indiana University Indianapolis Library. Registration is open to all personnel who are currently employed by ALI member libraries. All costs associated with registration, parking, lunch, and other refreshments are paid for by ALI and IU Indianapolis so attendance is entirely free to all participants. Registration is required, the deadline for in-person registration is Wednesday March 5, 2025. Online registration closes at 11am CST/ noon EST on Wednesday , March 12. Register here.

Christy Urquieta Cortes | Strategist (Content & Scholarly Communication Initiatives), LYRASIS
Christy's presentation will provide an overview of how artificial intelligence (AI) is being negotiated in institutional license agreements for electronic resources, strategies for negotiation of library friendly AI terms, and a broad overview of the state of affairs of AI in respect to copyright and recent legal decisions.
Christy Urquieta Cortes serves as a Strategist on the Content & Scholarly Communication Initiatives team at Lyrasis. Her focus is to develop strategic and innovative licensing practices and content packages that provide Lyrasis members with the greatest value possible. Christy has a growing portfolio of presentations and publications that cover topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Open Access, and licensing in a higher education setting. Amanda N. Price recently moved into the Community Programs Coordinator position, which focuses on concierge services for unique partnerships, such as ALI, MDL, and special groups and communities, such as the Springer Read-and-Publish Agreement group. Her career includes many years in academic libraries managing electronic resources, licensing, and acquisitions.

The discussion will center around the coming ADA title II changes, their potential impacts, and how our participants are proactively working toward addressing these changes and other accessibility issues at their libraries.
Brad Faust | Associate Dean for Library Data and Discovery Solutions, Ball State University
Brad Faust is the Associate Dean for Library Data and Discovery Solutions at the Ball State University Libraries. He is the point of contact in the University Libraries for library software solution procurement and is involved in processes to document compliance or accommodation options for all library software with a focus on student and faculty facing applications. Brad has served as a library leader for more than 35 years.
Kevin Petsche | Director of Content Services, IU Indianapolis University
Kevin Petsche has been a librarian at the IU Indianapolis University Library for 25 years. He currently serves as Director of Content Services where he oversees Acquisitions, Cataloging, and Resource Sharing. In addition, Kevin manages the materials budget and leads the library’s Collections Working Group. Kevin has been a longtime member of the ALI Resource Advisory Committee.
Amanda Gill | Lead Operations Manager, Purdue University
Amanda Gill has been an Operations Manager at Purdue University Libraries for 15 years, and for two of those years, she has been the Lead Operations Manager. In 2020, Accessibility Coordinator and Digital Reference Coordinator were also added to her title. Amanda currently serves on Purdue Libraries' Accessibility Working Group, the Council on Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and the BTAA's Library Accessibility Group.
Nathan Rupp | Acquisitions and E-Resources Librarian, Purdue University
Nathan Rupp is the Acquisitions and E-Resources Librarian at Purdue University Libraries, a position he has held since 2021. He has more than twenty-five years’ experience working in the technical services / collection development units of academic libraries, including work in cataloging, acquisitions, electronic resources management and licensing, and collection development. He currently serves on Purdue University Libraries’ Accessibility Working Group, the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA)’s Library Accessibility Group (LAG), and LAG’s Education Team which created the “Cultivating Belonging: Library Accessibility Essentials” asynchronous course to help train library staff across the BTAA on accessibility topics.
