What We Do

Established in 2018, the Shared Collections Committee was formed to:

  • Assess the current state of shared collections in Indiana
  • Investigate and develop strategies for lightweight and sustainable statewide collaborations in the area of shared collections
  • Liaise and collaborate with regional and national shared print initiatives
  • Develop a communications plan for explaining and promoting shared collections efforts within the state
  • Work with other ALI Committees to develop overarching strategies around collections

Our Committee is an outgrowth of the ALI-PALNI Shared Print Project.

ALI Shared Collections Summit POSTPONED

Out of concern for the health of our potential attendees and due to COVID-19 responses underway at many of our institutions, the ALI Shared Collections Summit scheduled for April 14, 2020, is being postponed until a future date. Once the Committee determines a suitable date for the event, we will communicate that information via this website and the ALI Deans & Directors email list.
