Description:
Scholarly communication is often seen as the domain of a niche group of librarians—but in reality, its principles and practices permeate the daily work of library staff across all departments. This webinar brings together four professionals from institutions of varying sizes and structures to share how their roles in access services, technical services, instruction, and digital initiatives regularly support and enhance scholarly communication.
Whether processing faculty deposits, managing metadata, guiding students through citation practices, or supporting research visibility through repositories and ORCID, library staff are often unsung contributors to the scholarly ecosystem. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how their work connects to open access, digital scholarship, and research impact—and how small changes in workflows and collaborations can build a stronger campus culture of sharing knowledge.
