The Academic Libraries of Indiana (ALI) Information Literacy Committee invites you to attend a free, upcoming webinar on disability and accessibility in information literacy instruction. Led by JJ Pionke, Applied Health Sciences Librarian at the University of Illinois (UIUC), attending librarians will learn more about disability and accessibility, practical concerns when teaching, as well as how we can incorporate some of these principles into our teaching practice.

Speaker: JJ Pionke, JJ is the Applied Health Sciences Librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is an award winning librarian for his work on disability and accessibility in libraries. His research has focused on a variety of topics related to disability and accessibility including the electronic accessibility of databases, employee and library science graduate student comfort and knowledge of assistive technologies and working with people with disabilities, and the disability accommodation process for library employees. When he’s not working, JJ plays video games, rides his motorcycle, and plays with his two Maine Coon cats.
